Topic: Educational Implications of Emotional Disturbance and Social/Maladjustment

Details: This two-day conference will be in-person & online featuring keynote speaker, Dr. Tammy Hughes.

Friday & Saturday’s presentations will be focusing on the following objectives:

  1. Participants will define the essential elements that determine the presence of emotional
    disturbance and/or social maladjustment in children.
  2. Participants will identify how to assess emotional disturbance and social maladjustment.
  3. Participants will identify treatment approaches to meet the needs of students with an
    emotional disturbance and/or social maladjustment.
  4. Participants will identify how the presence of trauma effects the needs of youth with an
    emotional disturbance and/or social maladjustment.

Conference fees also include coffee/tea refreshments, but will not include lunch as attendees will be in walking distance of several shops and restaurants at UM’s University Center. Discounted hotel booking information will be included in the registration confirmation email along with the Zoom links for those attending virtually. OPI Renewal Units and NCSP Credits will be available for both in-person and virtual attendees.
